What’s right, and what’s wrong, what’s the truth, and what’s been mis-reported, and has it been done intentionally or accidentally ?
All good questions, especially in this hushed up case…
Lets revisit it :
A British newspaper reported in 2006 that Robert Thomson was NOT Dante Wyndham Arthurs, yeah.. nothing strange about that – that’s not news, we really don’t know the truth of that one yet, however in the article (extract copy here) 
you can clearly see that the report states Thomson is not Arthurs, the report then goes on to show two photographs , which are captioned as Venables and Arthurs.
It seems this report has many flaws, but they are not apparent to the casual reader, resulting in misinformation and confusion..
The photo in the report is that of Thomson, and the other photo is supposed to be that of Arthurs, with Blonde hair, however, that photo of Arthurs looks nothing like Arthurs, as you can clearly see by looking at the actual photo of Arthurs on the night he
was arrested, in company of the police here ..
So what have they done here ?
Confused everyone, and made a smokescreen….. interestingly enough, doesn’t the actual photo of Arthurs being arrested look suspiciously like an older Robert Thomson, why would the newspaper use an IdentiKit style photo to portray Arthurs with Blonde hair, and then caption the photo of Thomson as Venables… … hmmm.. was it because it didn’t want the British public to see the truth, no…surely it was just a mistake….

I’ve always thought it was odd seeing that identikit picture of the suspect, then seeing the photo of “Venables” being taken away by police. It’s like the photos of Martin Bryant showing a wild eyed lunatic… What the hell is going on out there?
I was just reading that the video evidence may not be admissable because “Venables” was not offered legal counsel, even though he requested it? Is this another smoke screen? If this man gets off, again, wherever he resurfaces, history will repeat itself. There is a defect in his makeup that makes him a threat to society. I believe no more hiding, if this is Thompson, we have a right to know. If this man isn’t Thompson,and is just “Venables” he still needs to be brought go justice for his heinous crimes. I wonder why most of us live out our lives playing by the rules, when the scum of society seem to get unending protection by the law. Aren’t the laws there to protect the innocent? Not those that have crossed the line, and therefore, in my opinion, have forfeited the right to live anywhere but a 4×2m concrete cell. Anyone that takes the life of a child, harms a child, cannot be rehabilitated. When will those bloody goody two shoes get it through their thick skulls!
From the snipits of information that I have – I wonder what the answers to the following questions ARE?:
1 What name I wonder was on the title deed of the property that the Arthur family lived in in Canning Vale?
2 Where is the ‘rest of his family” – GONE? WHERE?
3 Apparantly Dante has a brother – GONE? WHERE?
4 No word of MUM and DAD – who were quickly moved from the ‘family house’ (apparantly the family house – I have been told it was owned by a GOVT dept)
5 Where are the COUSINS, UNCLES, AUNTS family friends – have they all be sworn to secrecy ?
6 Who would be convinced of Dante’s innocence by the fact that the DOB and POB does not make a match – even the finger prints – A FALSE I.D MEANS A FALSE I.D doesnt it??
can a relation please come forward with proof that he is robert thompson as i believe it is the same person fancy being given a trail judge only .
I am a member of C.V.S.A a friend of the family came to the website asking for help when the videotape was disallowed as evidence . I have just read on the site that it looks like he will get a plea bargain which means 7 years minumum sentence! Noel McNamara himself as posted this news and is furious! What is going on with this guy first time he gets off and now a slap on the hand! I agree something is very fishy…..
I have said all along no-one has ever come forward to say they knew him not here in Australia or the UK, I have followed this case from day 1.
How come the public are not hearing about this??? Its only ever in the W.A newspapers??

I think this is Jon Venables, not Robert Thompson. I think Venables is the one on the right, and he is the one that looks like Arthurs. If you look at both photos – the young Venebles and the older Arthurs carefully, you can see many similarities in facial features including the shape of the nose and ears.
Furthermore, some amazing coincidences include:
Venables birthday is 8/8/82, Dante’s is 8/8/84. If you were to change someones ID and help them to maintain the charade I could understand that you would keep the same birthdate so they don’t easily slip up and just change the year.
Dante’s mother is reported to be Suzanne Arthurs. Guess what?
Jon Venables mother was Susan. Again, easier for her not to have a slip up when trying to maintain the charade.
There are also many other amazing coincidences that have already been discussed.
I think what needs to be done – if it hasn’t already been done- is for an expert in facial analysis techniques (can’t remember the correct term) to analyse both photos.
Another line of enquiry could be the claim in the email that Venables (or Thompson’s if I’m incorrect) grandfather is/was Arthur Dante. Quite a few people in England should know – I assume they didn’t live like hermits. Dante Arthurs does sound like a made up name after all.
And all the assurances by the authorities that this is not the Bulger killer and he was born in Australia count for nothing, because the millions of pounds spent on creating new identities would definitely include very elaborate methods such as new birth certificates and even new birth notices. Investigators assurances that they have checked all this out and determined it is false also mean nothing, as they are probably looking at fake evidence.
You may be right! Its definetly not Anne Thompson, I recall that Venables had a brother, they both went to a special school for learning disabled kids, I have read Dante isnt the brightest mind in W.A , but I do feel he looks more like Thompson, plus I cant get passed why the infamous email was sent! Its never happened before or since has it? Theres something very suss about the way this case is kept very low key, no other case I know of in this country has been dealt with in the same manner. This killing of Sofia was so brutal yet anyone would have thought he had done something small ! Hell Brendon Abbott gets more press coverage than Dante Arthurs

The police can’t win – they will be blamed for messing up the investigation – it is either the legal system or (and i think the latter is the case) something far bigger going on. Blame the police – so much easier. This bastard has had far too many loopholes he’s been allowed to jump through.

What about the Asperger’s syndrome claims? Jon Venables had learning difficulties and was kept down a year at school. What are the incidence of Asperger’s? Cranio-facial identification would solve this once and for all. We know we are being lied to, and we’re not crazy. How can we get answers to this and many other conspiracy theories?
what a lot of covering up we have been decieved this guy is 23years old he has recieved 13years making him 35yrs old when he comes out then what? i dont believe he could have worked at woolworths livingstone and had a disoder of this kind…….what school did he attend? where is his family did they not look in his room occasionaly could they have stopped this monster… i heard he was booked to go to england 2 days after this occurred perphaps he thought he would get away with it , i mean he got away 2 times previously…… i hope he rots in jail, forever…………
I agree with you all that this is a major cover-up. Of course the government is not going to admit that he is one of the Bulger killers. You can’t believe anything they say. They have done a good job of keeping it quiet though….until now that is. I only received the email about the Bulger case and the killers getting new identities the other day, (I was 13 in 1993, but I do remember it) and after doing research on the net and comparing the one or two photos you can find, I reckon Arthurs is Robert Thompson. Just too many coincidences, and if you are capable of inflicting such horrible torture on a toddler at 10 years of old, I don’t hold out much hope of rehabilitation (that’s just my opinion). Does anyone know how you go about getting cranio-facial identification done? How much does it cost? I’d want to see the results for myself, and if I could afford it, I’d pay for it myself. I just don’t believe what anyone else says, especially the government, courts or the police. They’re all in it together. We need to discover the truth, for Sophie and for James. I remember this guy from school (england). I’ve only just heard of this from old school friends. He is instantly recognisable and there is no way that he could be either of James Bulger’s killers as we were at school with him when the killers were still in prison.
That said – the guy deserves to rot in hell for this atrocity. I did not know him at school but only remember him because of his unusual name. It’s a cliche but he was the quiet and withdrawn sort.
I feel that this should be cleared up so everyone can focus on the fact that both Surrey and Australian police royally ****ed up in letting this monster go free and thereby allowing this vile crime to take place.

I’ve read rumours that Thompson now lives in Queensland, with a “male lover”. Apparently an anonymous writer wrote to the mother of Jamie Bulger and gave her a tip on where he (Thompson) lives now. She said she saw him but became overcome with fear and so did nothing to him.
Ms Bulger come forward and tell others where we can find Thompson or where you saw him, so that someone else (if not yourself) can do to him what he did to that beautiful innocent little boy of yours.
The Uk criminal Justice system is corrupt and twisted. The fact that Venables and Thompson only got 8 years then had 4million pounds of tax payers money spent on them to give them new identities and a new life to PROTECT them makes me sick….how about protecting us law abiding citizens who work hard and don’t rape/steal/cheat and murder. Venables and Thompson are still in the UK. Their on life licence and aren’t even allowed to leave the UK for holidays. Why are Aussie’s so obsessed with them being sent over there? They weren’t and never will be. They have to remain in the UK for the home office to keep an eye on them and for their own protection.
Both Venables and Thompson have brown eyes yet every picture of Dante shows he has blue.

The UK papers all know were Thompson and Venables are and often report on what they get up to. The press ban on where they are only applies to England and Wales too. Why?? because they are in England or Wales but the home office don’t want people to know where. It’s simple as that.
And if any of the UK papers suspected Dante of being either Thompson or Venables they would have broke the law and posted it. UK papers do that if it’s in the interests of the public and the News Of The World said if they ever reoffend they would let people know.

I can’t believe what I am reading from Karen Carter… You come from the UK and yet are really out of the loop. Robert Thompson does have pale blue eyes (evil).
The photos come up looking like brown but just like James photos, everyone knows he had beautiful blue eyes but in most pictures in the papers or magazines they look brown.
These killers do not even have to let their partners know who they are incase of a break up and the chance of the partner telling the James supporters where they are. They can go out of the country for holidays and Jon Venables even joined the army and was deported out of UK at one point.
I believe they were there for a long time but as soon as Denise was told where he was and she found him they became desperate and packed them off to OZ.
Only choice for them really…To hard basket….. As they say evil prevails when good men do nothing. So as far as I am concerned the government stopped good men from doing what they should have done years ago and now Sofia is dead. Denise is not allowed to comment on the subject of the killers where abouts by law. Denise would feel more at ease that they are out of UK though.
On all these sights there are the killers supporters that log on and try to bum steer everyone away from the facts. It’s there job and its been happening since the killers were going to be released early. All of a sudden you get your forums full of bum steers. Well they did a good job with this one, the least talked about child killing in Australian history I would have to say. Apart from the following facts are you all blind? The picture of this Arthurs bares no resemblance to Robert or Jon.
1) British Authorities would never allow either of these 2 murderers as far as Australia or Canada as they are bound by a life license.
2) Denise Bulger confirmed following an anonymous tip off and sighting Robert Thompson in England at the time of this ridiculous report.
3) It has been well documented that Venables lived in a bedsit in the North of England since his release.
FOOLS… GET ALL THE FACTS BEFORE JUMPING TO WILD CONCLUSIONS!

Hi, I’m also from the UK. It’s always amused me that the Aussies have been paranoid for years about either of these pair being sent there. And reading the messages on here makes it sound like you wish one of them was there!!
Neither of them has been relocated abroad, their whereabouts have always been tracked by the many newspapers in our country that know where they are and who they are, but are bound by this stupid order. The revelations of the last few days prove Venables has always been in the UK and you can guarantee Thompson is still here too. He simply will not be allowed to leave the country. That’s a FACT, not my opinion. So you Aussies can bang on about your conspiracy theories that they’re in your country all you want, if it makes you feel better. But you’re completely wasting your time and effort, they ain’t there!

Karen Carter – I’d like to address a couple of points you raised:
1. Released on licence means they will be returned to prison if they break any terms of the conditions of their release. Yes, you raise a good point about the Home Office needing to keep an eye on them, but I would be interested to see the factual information that states they are not allowed to leave the UK at all. There is information online regarding ‘released on licence’ conditions for prisoners, but I cannot find anything that directly relates to the special conditions that apply in this case.
2. Aussies are not obsessed with them being sent here. Like many nationalities, our interest in this is sparked because of the reports that one of them is in fact here. Yes, there have also been reports in the past that one of them relocated to Australia. This does not make us obsessed. Interested…..yes. Obsessed…..no. Having said that, there is a natural element of human curiosity when a convicted child murderer here is said to be the same child murderer from the UK.
3. The eye colour is a bit difficult to attest to using the images we have access to online, particulary as the photos of Dante Arthurs are not exactly wide-eyed mugshots. So yes, you could possibly be correct in stating one has blue eyes, one has brown eyes however this alone would not convince me Dante isn’t Robert. I’ve had friends with contact lenses who have changed their eye colour depending on what colour they felt like having that day. By the way, you do say ‘every picture of Dante’. How many are there? I’ve only seen two.
4. The UK papers are bound by a worldwide media blackout, so I am not sure how they can report on what Venables and Thompson are up to regularly if they are bound legally by the blackout. Obviously if one of them screws up, like Venables recently has, then different rules apply. However, this ‘incident’ with Venables has actually proven that the media DON’T report their every move as this is the first time they’ve been able to report Venables’ past brushes with the law.
5. As previously stated, the media ban is worldwide. It DOES NOT only apply to England and Wales.
6. The UK papers WOULD NOT have published any information regarding to Dante being Thompson or Venables. The situation regarding the boys is unprecedented and the media ban would be like nothing ever experienced in the media previously. The ramifications for publishing ANY information regarding the boys would be harsh and severe. Not even The Sun or NOTW would take this risk. It is foolish to presume they would, even if they believe it is in the public’s interest. We are not talking about basic law here, this is a situation that has cost the UK taxpayer millions of pounds. There was huge backlash regarding these boys being released and given new identities. There is too much at stake for a paper to merely print an article if they believed the public was at risk.
So whilst you would like to tar us all with the same ’stupid’ brush, I suggest you look a lot deeper into the superficial comments you make regarding both the Bulger murder and the subsequent murder of Sofia.
